The latest incarnation of Fair Lawn On Jones can be tracked back to its origins in 1761 as the Fair Lawn Plantation, on what is now East Broad St. In the 1830's Major William Bowen built an estate, also known as Fair Lawn, which was noted for its "luxuriant garden." Amenities include a very nice-sized living area. There is a sleeper sofa with a comfortable air topper mattress. An entertainment center houses a TV and DVD player. Hardwood floors are throughout the living, dining and bedrooms areas. The bedroom is sunny, overlooks the courtyard area, and has a queen-sized bed. The walk-in closet has ample storage for lengthier stays. The kitchen and bathroom have tiled floors.
